Repair Windows Errors
Hello and welcome: Is your computer not running like it used to you when you first purchased it? Does it start slow, do you receive error messages? This page was created to help you rectify computer problems or at least point you in the right direction to correcting these problems.
Remember when you first brought your computer home? How it did everything you asked without hesitation, software applications and Internet pages loaded almost instantly. What happened? Do you hunger for those days? You can enjoy those great times again but you need to understand what happened before you can fix windows errors.
99% of the time your headaches can be traced back to the Windows Registry. What is this you ask? I will do my best to explain and I’m going to speak in the simplest terms possible. Your PC’s hard-drive is where everything is stored. Think of it as a file cabinet, it has files and folders just like a file cabinet in an office building.
The Registry is the heart of this file cabinet. It’s the one part of the Windows operating system that most average users will never access. It can be intimidating, confusing and making the wrong change within it can prevent Windows from loading all together. Now I could tell you about hierarchical structure, sub-trees, hives (also known as discrete files) and roots but like I said, I want to keep it simple and the simple truth is if the Registry is not kept in tiptop shape then your PC will become slow and will eventually quit all together. So you must correct windows errors in the Registry before this happens.
What causes these errors? I’m so glad you asked. When your computer was new your Registry was in perfect condition. However, over time your Registry will grow as you add or remove programs to your computer. These additions and deletions will cause your Windows Registry to become corrupted and full of errors. Yes you would think that when you remove a program that it is completely deleted from your Registry as well but unfortunately this is not the case. Often times files are left behind, (called residual files) it is these residual files that cause .
It is imperative to have a clean Registry for optimum system performance and system stability. Keeping track of all this information can be bewildering, it’s not an easy job and should only be done by someone who truly knows what he or she is doing. Changes made to the Registry are permanent.
There are programs specifically created to correct these problems but some cause more problems than they fix while others are just too complicated to operate for the average user. Over the years I have tried many of them and I am not here to bad-mouth any of them but I have found one that out shines them all, it’s called ErrorFix and it is packed with features:
