Reverse Engineering a Brand Name With Google

Effective Use of Google…
I experimented for years with Google and discovered a technology that one of my partners, Pete Freitag, brought to my attention. It was a blog and, at the time, I had no idea how it might benefit me and my companies. I heard one thing about blogs and it was that Googlebot loved them. Googlebot is Google’s spider that roams the Web all the time to re-index Google’s database. The use of Google

I had an idea that I had never read about anyplace in my travels. I set out with three goals. The first was to discover and share as much knowledge about business in the new millennium as I could. The second was to use multiple blogs to grab as many key-phrases that were pertinent to my for profit Web sites and the third was to reverse engineer a brand name using only Google and zero budget marketing.

Phase I
We carefully chose a phrase that had several characteristics. The name had to be catchy, naturally, and represent the whole of what our companies are at their base. Also, we researched phrases that were being searched for but, by in large, not highly competitive. We chose the phrase New Millennium Minds as it met all the requirements.

Phase II
Begin posting new blogs at our own server via CyberVillage.com, our existing spidered marketing project using Wordpress.net and a few other blog systems and communities. I chose Authorsden and Blogger since they already have a viewer base and I was already a member of Authorsden, so it was not additional cost. Also, whenever I launch a blog for partners, allies, etc. I use the phrase or some version of the phase.

Phase III
Over approximately six months I posted pertinent article summaries, both my articles and other authors when I was strapped for time, original posts and other industry specific information. I watched the stats carefully and now have results to post.

New Millennium Minds is officially my new brand. Search for Google for “New Millennium Minds” using the quotes and we own over 90% of the over 1,000 spots. When I say I own them that is qualified by saying that the links are even a direct link to me or to an article or other draft I authored or a third party link to one of my blogs. We have about a half dozen blogs that are all interlinked. There were over one thousand links returned using our new brand name and I estimate I owned, or generated, at least 90% of the Web pages and links thereto.

1) I can market in many ways that draw people to us using a very easy phrase of remember me and if you forget me never forget Google: New Millennium Minds
2) By combining the phrase New Millennium, a very popular phrase, with various other desirable key-phrases we are making strong headway with about fifty desirable phrases at this time. We already own 14,000 niche phrases, but began in July to grab more mainstream phrases for our newer and more expensive, about 20 times more expensive, phrases for our ‘Business Class Email Server.’ We currently own that phrase with quotes, and by the time there are more people searching for that term we’ll own it without quotes as well. Combining the following terms with the phrase ‘New Millennium’, both with and without quotes, results in many references to us either directly, or indirectly. Within all the blogs, articles, etc. own links that lead directly to our software product lines. The Recommended use of Google Search
